Imagine being under three years old and already a two-time Guinness World Record holder. Well, that’s exactly what Jude Owens, a pint-sized snooker whiz from Manchester, has achieved – and it’s got everyone talking.
Jude might be little, but his snooker skills are anything but. At just 2 years and 261 days old, he became the youngest person ever to make a snooker double pot – a tricky move where two balls are potted with one stroke of the cue. Weeks later, at 2 years and 302 days, he knocked in a pool bank shot, earning himself a second world record and making him one of the youngest double record holders in Guinness World Records history.
His journey to snooker fame began at home, where a mini table quickly became Jude’s favourite playground. Because he’s still tiny, he uses a stool to reach full-sized tables, turning what many adults find challenging into child’s play. His dad, Luke Owens, spotted Jude’s natural talent early and has cheerfully watched it grow ever since.
Jude’s confidence matches his cue skills. When asked who’d win a snooker game between him and his dad? Without hesitation, Jude said: “Me.”
Beyond clever shots and world records, Jude has also charmed audiences with a special walk-out entrance at the 2025 UK Snooker Championship – complete with bow tie and big cheers from the crowd.
Guinness World Records editor-in-chief Craig Glenday says Jude’s achievements show record-breaking truly belongs to everyone, regardless of age.
Whether he becomes the next snooker champion or simply continues to amaze, one thing is certain: this little lad already has British fans cheering loud and proud.
